Alley is currently the Interim Finance Director for the City of Lawrence after joining the team as the Budget & Strategic Initiatives Manager in March 2023. As Interim Director, she oversees the various functions in the Finance Department including budget preparation, accounting, purchasing, customer billing & collections, debt issuance, and financial reporting. Previously, Alley has worked for the Unified Government of Wyandotte County/Kansas City, KS, the City of Prairie Village, KS, and the City of Sugar Land, TX. She holds a bachelor’s degree in political science and a Master of Public Administration degree both from the University of Kansas.
Jennifer is the Interim Assistant Finance Director for the City of Lawrence. She has worked for the City since July of 2016. Jennifer makes sure that the City has the budget and cash flow to make your debt payments on time. She is responsible for ensuring the financial statements posted here and on EMMA present an accurate account of the City's finances. Previous to joining the City, Jennifer worked as a Senior Accountant for a Lawrence CPA firm. She received her Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Pittsburg State University.
